Though I’m not a mother myself, I’ve spent my life wrapped in the rhythm of family—growing up in a full house of siblings and cousins, and later caring for tiny hands and sleepy eyes as a nanny. I’ve witnessed the magic of motherhood from a tender, reverent place. That closeness to family has shaped the way I see the world—and how I document it.
My background as a ballet dancer taught me the power of intentional movement and quiet observation. In my work, I bring that same intuition—photographing love as it naturally unfolds. Whether I’m capturing the soft chaos of motherhood or the intimate joy of two people beginning their forever, I’m always looking for the in-between: the glance, the gesture, the feeling you’ll want to hold onto.
I believe in preserving moments that matter. The tiny toes, the stolen glances, the way your partner looks at you when you don’t even know it. Because life moves quickly—and once a moment slips by, all we have left are the memories we’ve kept.
When I lost my grandmother, all I had of her were photographs. Images from birthdays, holidays, everyday afternoons. They’ve become a treasure chest of emotion—proof of love, even when the people are gone. That’s what I hope to create for you: honest, lasting imagery that you can pass down like heirlooms.
My sessions are gentle, soulful, and calm—whether you’re in a white dress or a cozy living room. I’ll take care of the details so you can be fully present, with the people who matter most.
We’ve been working with Shawnae since 2021 and she never disappoints. She brings confidence to maternity photos, softness to newborn photos, and excitement to all of the little milestones. Her care and flexibility are unmatched and she captures every moment you don’t want to forget!
She knows exactly what she is doing when it comes to taking photos and made the experience extremely comfortable. Overall, Serin and I can't thank Shawnae enough for our photos and experience. She doesn't just take photos, she captures moments that will last forever!
